Where Do You Go in New York when the Weather Turns Blustery?

I think spring in places like where we live in Utah or New York – pretty much anywhere that snows during any average winter  – guarantees unpredictable weather. Our visit to New York during Spring Break (which was in early March) included sunny/balmy 70° on one day and the next, windy and raining mixed with sleet. It really ran the gamut while we were there so be prepared for any kind of weather if your journey takes you to New York early in any season but in particular Spring and Fall.

On our wet and blustery day we had to adjust our schedule to keep things close to the hotel. Going out in the weather seriously was not fun. It’s one thing if it’s raining but when the rain falls sideways and it’s cold, staying in doors is definitely preferable. Not far from the hotel was the SPYSCAPE – Spy Museum. It was on our list anyway and it was only about a block and a half away. Surely we could endure a little rain to accomplish something that day.

When you get to Spyscape, you are given a free locker to put away your stuff. You seriously don’t want to be carrying around things while you’re here. It’s an interactive experience where you’re quizzed to find out what your strengths and weaknesses are for being a spy. You learn about famous spies in history and you are given tasks to accomplish. We really enjoyed this outing. It was a perfect way to spend an hour or two out of the poor weather so we didn’t feel like our day was a complete loss. If you’re looking for something fun and simple to do in the city that is appropriate even for children, check them out!

Btw, I’d make a terrible spy!

Watch the video below. I’m really bad. LOL!
