Kris & Michaela are a mother and daughter in Utah who tragically suffered a great loss in 2008 when Michaela’s father, Kris’ Husband Mike passed away unexpectedly. A little bit about THAT is found here. The years since have been a tumultuous journey of ups and downs – in many ways mostly, downs. Their main coping mechanism was to escape whether it be to Disneyland (a lot!), New York, the Caribbean, a concert or just simple ride up into the mountains near their home. Along the way, Kris was a prolific photographer, documenting every journey. This blog relives how she navigated those extreme moments of grief while making new memories with her daughter. It’s resulted in a great mother/daughter relationship strengthened by a being present in the moments. This blog shares those moments and the ones yet to come.
